Twinkie Chan designed an adorable lollipop brooch. The free pattern
is published in a web 'zine known as Snippets.Fantastic things
about this pattern:Did I mention that it's cute?If you don't want
to use the lollipop as a brooch, you can adapt it for other
purposes: barrettes, appliques, 'fridge magnets, or whatever else
strikes your fancy. This lollipop would be great for accessorizing
kids' clothes, but you don't have to be a kid to wear it.This is an
excellent way to use up scrap yarn (although I wouldn't advise
mixing fibers, as Twinkie Chan did, if you can avoid doing so.)If
you've ever wondered how to crochet a two-color spiral, Twinkie
Chan's pattern will show you how to get one started.More Lollipops

Beata's Pretty Crocheted Flower Designs
Beata at Rosehip.typepad.com has posted some beautiful crochet
patterns, plus plenty of eye-candy photos. Her dimensional flowers
were inspired by similar vintage flowers, and she has shared her
interpretation of the pattern. She also posted a free crochet
pattern for squares incorporating the floral motif. Then she
created gorgeous cushions using these motifs. I had discovered
Beata's blog awhile back and bookmarked it, but was reminded about
it again during a recent visit to Heidi Kenney's blog. Heidi also
worked the same pattern, and she posted photos of her finished
motifs awhile back. They are so pretty! More About Crocheting

Crochet an Easy Textured Washcloth -- Free Pattern

Washcloth -- Photo © Amy Solovay. Crochet an easy textured
washcloth with this free pattern. The washcloth is soft and gentle
enough to use on a baby, but people of any age can enjoy using it.
The washcloth is crocheted using Nature's Choice organic cotton
yarn by Lion Brand. This is an easy pattern which incorporates two
different variations of single crochet stitch. The stitch
combination is partially responsible for the interesting mix of
textures you see; this particular yarn is also quite textured,
adding even more visual interest. Pictured at right is the
solid-colored version of the washcloth. I also tried making a
three-color versio...
