but I also know I haven't sewn with every machine out there... nor
have I sewn on them like I own every one of them. There is nothing
more valuable than listening to someone who actually owns a
particular sewing machine before you buy a sewing machine... even
if it's a used machine at a ard sale or on Ebay. To
have that kind of information available for everyone that might be
looking for information before they purchase a sewing machine, I am
asking everyone to please take a few minutes to fill in a very
simple form about the sewing machines they own or have
owned... you can even add a picture if the mood so moves
you. If you can add a picture of a machine I'm sure
others will enjoy browsing for memory lane and shopp...

Thread Nests at Charity Sewing Night
This past Friday night, I did one of our charity sewing nights at
my local Cooperative Extension Office for our county 4H. It was
great! The kids all worked on aprons for the local Boys and Girls
Club. I used the BBQ apron pattern and just made them a little

Sewing machine trouble shooting is usually my biggest job of our
sewing evenings. I love helping people learn about their sewing

Teaching Sewing
When ever I talk about my 4H sewing nights, I get emails with
various questions about teaching sewing. I know winter break is
around the corner in out local schools so what better time to talk
about teaching sewing. It's a perfect way to beat the "nothing to
do blues" and teach a valuable life skill at the same time. You may
even know some adults who want to learn to sew. I've written all
the basics you need and made printable pages you will need to print
out to help someone learn to control their sewing machines... and a
printable page of sewing machine drivers licenses. Teaching Sewing
